# Volumes

> Create and manage persistent storage volumes.

<RuncrateStyles />

Persistent storage that survives instance termination. Volumes mount at `/workspace` inside instances.

## Quick start

# Create a 100GB volume

# Deploy an instance with the volume attached
runcrate instances create --name training --gpu A100 --volume datasets

# SSH in and access your data
runcrate ssh training
ls /workspace    # Your volume is here

## Commands

### List volumes

```

### Create a volume

```bash theme={"theme":"github-dark"}
runcrate volumes create --name datasets --size 100              # 100GB
runcrate volumes create --name checkpoints --size 50 --region us-east
```

### Mount to an instance

```bash theme={"theme":"github-dark"}
runcrate instances create --name my-instance --gpu A100 --volume datasets
```

The volume mounts at `/workspace`. Data persists after the instance terminates.

### Resize a volume

```bash theme={"theme":"github-dark"}
runcrate volumes resize <id> --size 200
```

### Delete a volume

```bash theme={"theme":"github-dark"}
runcrate volumes delete <id>
```

### List available regions

```bash theme={"theme":"github-dark"}
runcrate volumes regions
```
